Zoning Hearing Board
The Zoning Hearing Board is a five-member board that votes on special exceptions, variances, changes to nonconforming uses, and appeals of the Code Enforcement Officer. Applications can be picked up at the Township Office. Fee for hearings is $450.00. The Board of Supervisors also hears and decides rezoning petitions at the municipal office and a public hearing will be scheduled. The fee for rezoning is $400.00
Louis Agostini has been on the Zoning Hearing Board since 2007. Married to wife Darlene, has 4 children – Louis, Christina, Vincent, and Nicholas. A 1981 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, self-employed at Uniontown Builders Supply and Uniontown Construction Company. Current owner of Weeger Contracting and Development. Serves on community service boards such as past president of Uniontown YMCA, Trustee of Uniontown YMCA, Chestnut Ridge Counseling Board, Fayette County Planning and Zoning, and Trustee of Grace Community Church.
Daniel Glitz has been on the Zoning Hearing Board since 2005. Married to wife Mary Jane, has 3 children – Deborah Curtis, Danielle Fortney, and Darin Glitz. Served in the United States Army, was employed as a highway designer with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and project management with McCormick Taylor (Consultant with the PA Turnpike on Mon-Fayette Expressway). Served on the South Union Township Planning Commission until 2010.
Lauren Yohman has been on the Zoning Hearing Board since 2014. Married to Brad Yohman, has 2 children.
Craig Baker was appointed to the Zoning Hearing Board in 2016.
Chad Miller was appointed to the Zoning Hearing Board in 2016.
All meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted in the newspaper.
